the weekends

was an interesting one. started off with a BANG: exam results on friday. Well, I have to say that I'm frankly quite satisfied with my result of 36/42 pts. Though, as compared to the other IB muggers taking double science and math at higher levels, I should be getting more pts la hahaha. Of course there were the new misses; 3% more to 5pts for maths & 0.5% more to 7pts for econs, but hey, why aim so high when u can surprise yourself again in the next exam =) Was also pleasantly surprised to see my name appearing on the top 9(or 10) list for 4 papers (Eng SL, Chinese B HL, Malay Ab, Bio SL), but hey, these are kacang putih subjects lah... & I also just want to take a few lines here to give all glory to God for guiding me throughout the entire mugging and exam period la, for without all Him, all these would not have been possible. To God Be The Glory, The Best is Yet to Be...

and then there was Canon Photomarathon 2008 on Saturday, where close to 1300 professionals of all ages converged into Suntec City to hone off their mastery in the art of photography, and of course 我也不例外. Competition was from 9am to 10.30pm, with registration starting at 7am. And needless to say, I pangseh the compy by like 1+pm to attend sabbath afternoon service at Adam Rd; Senior Members Day mah, so must show my support!! Well basically in this compy, you will be given a theme and have exactly 3.5 hours to hunt all over Singapore for your best shot and upload it to the comps there. No photoshop or editing, pure raw composing and techniques. Rinse and repeat 2 more times, and u have a full day photomarathon competition. The 3 themes for this year were: Change, Dreams and Freedom. Of course i attended only the 1st 1 la.. and without a shadow of a doubt I can say that it is FULL OF CRAP

must have been influenced too much by those people-not-clearing-their-trays pictures that have been popping up in the straits times everyday like pop-corns. Also, the sunrays seeping through the thick canopy of leaves and landing directly on that pile of trash was too tempting... Well photography is an art lah, dun understand, then too bad lor XD (could have gotten a better angle, but the army of red ants couldnt wait!!)

lastly, ended off with a short 1 night stayover in church with some bros and sis. Though its my first time there, I have to say it was quite fun and enjoyable lah, just sitting in the library having TCSS (talk cock sing song) sessions till midnight and going for supper at Macs until 1+ am. Really takes bio prac, new EE topic, selection of TOK final essay question, & World Lit topic off my mind. Sadly, this only occurs once in a month lah, but hey, I strongly recommend all TJC youths especially my uber-beloved class of IY'08s to attend; defintely would be a shiok night to remember.

alright. Looks like my bio prac would have to push to tomorrow to do liao. Now all thats left is to prepare a convincing script as to how my precious Bio prac got kidnapped by Chinanese phone scammers and unfortunately got burned though I tried my best to stay on the line but got cut off due to their china-made sim cards overheating after 10 minutes of talk-time. Sounds dam realistic right??
