Some Confucianistic Teachings
The Ideal Gentleman
"君子成人之美, 不成人之恶"
A gentleman helps others to develop good qualities, but not influence others to do evil.
"君子欲纳于信, 而敏于行"
A gentleman is slow and careful in speech, but fast with action.
The Ideal Scholar/Learner
"学而时习之, 不亦悦乎?"
Learn and constantly practice: That is happiness
"博学于文, 约之一礼"
A learned scholar must govern and discipline himself with rules.
One of the major concepts of Confucianism: 仁 (kindness)
"夫仁者,已欲立而立人,已欲达而达人”
If you are successful, you will also help others to become successful.
"其恕于! 已所不欲, 忽施于人"
Do not do to others what you do not wish others do to you.
