carpe diem

carpe diem, sieze the moment.

Thats right, with just 3 weeks left to promos, its time to kick procrastination in the ass and start doing what we singaporeans do best: Mug mUg muG. Yes its tough indeed, especially with the radiant 1 week of holidays dawning upon us and with TOK presentation to finish coupled with last-minute overdue IAs. Well, as a relatively unknown african who appeared only in a few scenes in the movie "Blood Diamond" (the one with Leo Dicaprio) once said in his most climatic statement (before he died) which is repeatedly echoed by my econs teacher:

"TIA bru. This Is ACS"
(supposedly africa, but u get the point)

Well, i guess the only thing that can keep us motivated is our trusty, little, underated sidekick:

Time flies real quickly, so dont waste any opportunities, be it studying, keeping fit, hanging out with friends... if not you might just end up like Tony Harrison whining about testing the reality.

carpe diem, sieze the moment. mug hard, own in promos. rest well, set for tmr.

On an unrelated note, the D90 is coming.

WAAAAAAH BO LUI AAAAAAHH!!

hook, line and sinker

a small question.

how many times do you swallow a day? (F.Y.I. its the act of opening your pharynx to allow substances to enter your oesophagus from your mouth)

well, maybe every minute. no one really bothers. its autonomous.

ok good. now imagine this:

every instance of those minutes, you feel a tremendous sharp pain radiating down your throat.

whenever you stretch your throat. (yawn, cough)

whenever you eat. (which means you cant eat)

whenever you drink. (which means you hate to drink)

whenever you swallow. (which means your head naturally bobs like guru pitka)

and then you need to take these.

of which,

the lozenges does not soothe.

the anti-inflammatory does not quell.

the antibiotic does not work.

Imagine no further, you've got a really bad throat ulcer.

so lame

Decided to go for a jog on sunday afternoon. Stretched up quite a bit through some relatively intense warm-ups. Self-hydrated & popped in 2 orange clorets mint to get the chemicals going. Tightened up laces to ensure a tight but breathable fit for my tarsels, metatarsels & those little phalenges. Set off for the nearby park. Arrived, quite empty. Good, no old men to pwn me. Took a deep breath. Must at least run 40mins today. Yes, must beat my previous distance. Started my stopwatch. Began the run. 1s... 2s... 3s... 4s... 5

OOOOUUUCCCHHHH!

Stepped on an unnoticeable 凸 on the track. Whole left ankle virtually twisted 90 degrees. Ankle sprain, ligament tore, but not a drop of sweat at the crime scene. Thus ended my attempt to beat my olympic record. SIANZZZ... Fortunately, wasnt that severe. First thing I thought off was not to go home and ice the edema, but go to the nearby coffeeshop and get a currypuff first. Was hungry la. lol.

Puns can be quite irritating. I'm now truly a lame guy. With 2 weeks PE MC =)

dilemna

I dont know why, but its all too similar. The uncanny resemblance, the merriment, the felicity, the allurement, even the dates are almost matching, perhaps the latter being a tad more dainty. The only subtle difference, is that which makes all the difference... aargh life is gonna get real difficult from now on.. which path shall i take?

16-85 VR or 18-125 DC OS HSM. Haizzz. Sianzz, for better IQ (image quality), i guess its a must to sacrifice extended range and more $$$... Hope a good 2nd hand deal will fly by, and the 'gov' provides some subsidy.. if not i can start job-hunting liao.

Well, yesterday witnessed my school's Festival of Arts 08 - Symphonic Band. Have to say it was a worthwhile, enjoyable night of performance with those serenic, enchanting music and witty antics by both instrumentalists & conductor alike. Also 1st time that I took tripod shots in a school event. A big thank you to VR in my 55-200! But could have done better if i had da 70/80-200 f2.8 hahaha. No choice, a student will always be a poor photographer. FOA pics at:
